And when I say "doing" in relation to art, I mean "creating". Just start. Create what resonates with you. Not what you think will sell, or what your family, friends, fellow artists will like. I'm working on paying more attention to that when I start a new painting or a new series of paintings. It's not easy. When I hear buzzwords like "honesty", "integrity", "authenticity"... I usually go "ugh". But there's truth in those words when creating. It's just tough to be mindful of that all of the time. So right now, including the human element in my work is currently in my creative bucket. Capturing someone's likeness, in that fleeting moment that will never happen again, is what really interests me. This may change after a while. But until then, I have a lot of practicing to do.
These paintings may be available sooner or later, but right now, I think creating is the most important part.
